background

Allandale is one of Central Austin’s largest neighborhoods. Built in the 1950s, Allandale has maintained its character with a strong homeowners association and a sense of community pride. The area is bound by MoPac Expressway to the west, West Anderson Lane to the north, Burnet Road to the east, and West 45th Street to the south. Many Allandale homes have broad green lawns and large old trees. At the heart of the neighborhood is the 30-acre Northwest Park, which includes a popular metropolitan pool; basketball, tennis and volleyball courts; picnic areas; baseball fields; a playground; and a turtle pond. Most Allandale residents live within walking distance to a number of popular restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques.
